RC2M-D motorised roller conveyor

RC2M-D motorised roller conveyor with steel frame and galvanised rollersRC2M-D is a motorised roller conveyor. Its rollers are powered by an integrated motor, so boxes move automatically along the conveyor rather than being pushed by hand or relying on gravity.

Each section measures 2050 × 600 mm and operates at 18 m/min, which is a comfortable walking speed for packing operations. The gearbox has a 12.5:1 ratio, providing the torque needed to start loaded boxes moving.

The conveyor frame is made from steel and the rollers are high-strength galvanised steel. The drive system is built into the section, so there is no external gearbox and nothing protruding into the aisle.

It operates quietly, at below 60 dB, and stands on adjustable feet to set the working height anywhere from 650 to 800 mm. Sections can be joined to reach the required length; a shorter RC1M/D version, 1000 × 600 mm, is also available.

RC2M-D for industrial and logistics use

The RC2M-D motorised roller conveyor is used in packing lines, warehouses, logistics hubs and manufacturing sites. It is ideal for moving boxes and cartons between work areas or to and from automated equipment. Typical uses include transferring packed items from packing benches to strapping, wrapping or labelling stations, and linking workstations in assembly or order picking processes.

This conveyor is commonly installed where a consistent flow of goods is required, such as in e-commerce fulfilment, electronics assembly and automotive parts handling. It can be extended or repositioned as production requirements change.

How a powered conveyor makes a difference

  • The box moves itself. A powered conveyor keeps everything moving at a steady pace; with a gravity conveyor, the last box always needs a push along.
  • Consistent speed for all. 18 m/min remains constant throughout the shift, making packing line output reliable.
  • Handles loaded boxes. The 12.5:1 gearbox provides the torque to start a full carton, not just to keep an empty one moving.
  • Quiet operation at the workstation. Below 60 dB, so staff can speak easily beside it.
  • Modular construction. 2050 × 600 mm sections can be joined to suit your required length, with a 1000 mm section for shorter runs.
  • Galvanised rollers. High-strength galvanised steel prevents marking goods and resists corrosion in damp packing areas.

Operator duties and line integration: RC2M-D

Operators position goods centrally on the rollers for stable movement and to prevent side loading. The conveyor runs at its set speed automatically, so manual work is limited to loading, unloading, and monitoring the flow. During a typical shift, operators check box alignment, ensure rollers are clear of obstructions, and keep transfer points to other machines free.

How to use

  1. Align the sections and connect them to match the length required for your process.
  2. Level each section and secure it so the joints between sections are flush.
  3. Connect the drive; the conveyor operates at 18 metres per minute.
  4. Place boxes onto the first section with their longer side parallel to the rollers.
  5. Remove boxes at the end, or pass them on to the next machine in the line.

Installation and maintenance

  • Level the sections. Any step at a joint can cause a box to catch and halt the line. Ensure all sections are level and aligned before starting up.
  • Do not exceed the load per section. The weight a section can handle depends on the box and its position on the rollers. Please consult us before planning to move heavy or long items.
  • Ensure rollers rotate freely. A jammed roller can skew a box. Check by hand that every roller turns smoothly during your weekly inspection.
  • Keep the frame clear. Strapping, tape and shrink film can wind around roller shafts. Remove these promptly before they reach the bearings.
  • Lubrication. The conveyor is designed for minimal lubrication; follow only the manufacturer’s recommended schedule.
  • Safety guards. Where the conveyor meets another machine, the transfer point is a finger trap and must be guarded.

Before purchasing

Prices are shown on this page. As conveyors are selected for both the product and the line, please confirm these details before placing your order:

  • Length. Each section measures 2050 mm. Count the number of sections needed for your run; the 1000 mm RC1M/D section can be used to close any gaps.
  • Box width. Roller width is 600 mm; boxes must always rest on at least three rollers.
  • Weight of goods. The manufacturer quotes 50 kg as the maximum load for conveyors in this series, but does not specify a figure for the RC2M-D. Please let us know the weight and dimensions of your items and we will confirm suitability with the supplier before you place your order.
  • Operating height. Adjustable feet allow for a working height between 650 and 800 mm on this series. Please specify what equipment or process the conveyor must align with at each end.
  • Power supply. The manufacturer does not list the supply for the RC2M-D. The powered conveyor in the same series, ERC4M/RD, operates on 380 V / 50 Hz three-phase and uses 1 kW. Please advise what electrical supply is available at your site and we will check compatibility.
  • Shipping dimensions. This section weighs approximately 95 kg and measures 2050 mm in length, so please ensure your vehicle can accommodate this size upon delivery. Delivered to your address (DAP) · export price without VAT; export customs clearance at a fixed fee; import VAT and duties are paid by the buyer.

Points to consider when selecting and using the RC2M-D

Before choosing the RC2M-D, please confirm the type and dimensions of the goods to be conveyed. Each box or container should have a flat, rigid base. Avoid placing items that are too small or have uneven bottoms directly on the rollers, as they may snag or travel unevenly. For soft packaging or unstable loads, we recommend using trays to ensure even weight distribution.

Check your planned conveyor route for sharp bends or changes in height, as the RC2M-D is intended for straight, level operation.
