Flexible roller conveyor, 460 mm wide

This flexible roller conveyor features a concertina-style frame with rollers, which can be extended to the required length, curved as needed, and compacted again once finished.

The conveyor measures 460 mm across and can be adjusted in length from 1200 mm up to 4800 mm. The height is set between 600 mm and 1000 mm using the adjustable legs.

Rollers are 48 mm in diameter with 8 mm axles, supporting up to 35 kg. This model is not powered: cartons are either pushed manually or move by gravity on a gentle incline.

The legs are mounted on castors, allowing the conveyor to be positioned at a loading bay, packing bench or lorry, and then folded away when not in use.

Setting up the conveyor

1. Wheel the conveyor to the required location.
2. Extend to the desired length and shape it to fit your route.
3. Adjust the legs to your preferred working height, anywhere from 600 to 1000 mm.
4. Place cartons on the rollers and move them along, or set a gentle incline for self-feeding movement.
5. After use, collapse the conveyor and wheel it out of the way.

Operation and maintenance

• Load. Do not exceed the maximum load of 35 kg.
• Slope. A gentle downward angle allows cartons to move along unaided; if the incline is too great, they may travel too quickly.
• Standing firm. Adjust the legs so the conveyor is level across its width.
• Flat bottoms. Boxes and cartons with flat bases move best on the rollers.
• Care. Keep the rollers clear of debris and strap offcuts to ensure free movement.

Flexible conveyor 460 mm: selection and operation

Before selecting this conveyor, ensure the width and length are suitable for your packages and available space. Measure the intended path, including any bends, and consider both the minimum and maximum extension. Check that the floor is sufficiently level for the castors to move and the legs to remain stable. If using the conveyor on a slope, trial it with sample cartons to confirm they do not move too quickly or become stuck on curves.

Frequent errors include placing items that are too heavy, too wide or have uneven bases on the conveyor, or setting an incline that is too steep for safe use.
