Pallet strapping kits are ready-made sets that contain everything you require to begin packing. Each banding kit includes a strapping tool, battery or two batteries for battery powered tools, charger, plastic PET or PP strap or cord strapping (with a choice of widths), and a dispenser cart. Manual banding kits also include banding clips or wire buckles. Once you collect your pallet strapping kit, you can start packing straight away.

The cost of a pallet strapping kit is lower than purchasing each component separately. The investment pays off within months, thanks to time saved during packing, increased packing output, and direct savings on banding clips (battery powered strapping tools do not require clips). Prices for pallet strapping kits range from around 320 EUR for manual kits to approximately 2,150 EUR for battery powered kits, depending on the strapping tool included – whether it is automated (with automatic tensioning, friction welding and cutting), semi-automated, or a manual tool, and on the type of plastic strap (PET or PP) or manual tool.

 

What is included in a pallet strapping kit?

Each pallet strapping kit contains a strapping tool. Depending on your choice, this may be a battery powered, pneumatic, or manual strapping tool. There are many types of pallet strapping tools available, so it is important to select the pallet banding tool that best suits your requirements. To choose the right pallet strapping kit, first decide on the strap width you need, then select the appropriate strapping tool for your application.

Our range includes pallet strapping tools for all strap widths, from 9 mm up to 19 mm. Next, consider whether you require a fully automated solution, where the battery powered tool provides automatic tensioning, welding and cutting, or if a pneumatic or manual tool is more suitable. The required strength of the pallet banding tool depends on the strap width and the type of goods you are strapping. Our battery powered strapping tools offer maximum tension forces up to 5,000 N.

 

PET and PP plastic strap, or cord and textile strapping

Each pallet strapping kit includes one coil of PET or PP plastic strap, or textile cord strapping. We offer pre-assembled pallet strapping kits with a variety of strap widths and types. Please select the set that best matches your needs. PET strap provides maximum strength and maintains the highest bond and tensile strength among plastic strapping options.

PET strapping is most commonly used for heavy loads that require a secure and tight bond for safe transport or storage. Its lower cost compared to metal strapping, combined with similar performance, has led many manufacturers and logistics companies to choose PET strapping over steel.

Polyester strapping can be applied manually, with a battery powered strapping tool, or with a manual tool. PET strapping is easy to recycle. PP (polypropylene) strapping is a cost-effective material suitable for light to medium-heavy loads, for strapping pallets and boxes. It is available in various widths, thicknesses and polymer types (such as copolymers).

Cord strapping is also an excellent alternative to steel strapping. It is strong and compact, and its main advantage is that it is safer for both goods and staff, as it does not have sharp edges.

A strap dispenser cart for PP, PET or cord strapping allows you to move your pallet strapping equipment wherever it is needed. Using a dispenser cart speeds up the packing process and boosts productivity, as PET, PP and cord strapping can be quickly dispensed from the cart. The dispenser cart also provides convenient storage for your strapping, so you can begin packing without delay.
