This is a powered flex conveyor: a concertina-style frame with motor-driven rollers, which can be extended to the required length and shaped into bends.

Available in 4 metre and 6 metre versions, with a 550 mm width, and height adjustable between 650 mm and 800 mm.

The rollers move cartons at speeds up to 15 metres per minute, set via the control panel; maximum load is 50 kg.

Runs on single-phase 220 V, 50 Hz, 1 kW power, and is mounted on castors for easy positioning at loading, unloading or packing points.

Powered flex conveyor 4 m and 6 m: typical applications

The powered flex conveyor is used in warehouses, distribution centres, e-commerce fulfilment, manufacturing, logistics and retail back-of-house. It is ideal for loading and unloading lorries, linking packing or assembly lines, and transferring cartons or parcels between work areas. Its extendable, flexible frame fits where fixed conveyors cannot, and it is often wheeled to dock doors, packing benches or production zones as needed.

This conveyor is suitable for cartons, boxes, crates and similar items that fit within its 550 mm width and are stable for powered roller movement. It is commonly used to move goods from incoming pallets to storage, from picking to packing, or from finished goods to outbound despatch. Its flexibility means it can be used for several tasks in a shift, especially where layouts or routes change.

How to use the powered flex conveyor

1. Position the conveyor where required, then extend it to the desired length and curve.
2. Adjust the height between 650 mm and 800 mm.
3. Connect to a 220 V socket and switch on using the control unit.
4. Set the speed and place cartons onto the rollers.
5. When finished, turn off, retract the conveyor and move it aside.

Operator guidance and safety: powered flex conveyor

Keep hands away from moving rollers, and do not use the conveyor for loose or unstable items that could drop between the rollers.

Operation and maintenance

• Load. Do not exceed the maximum load of 50 kg.
• Speed. Use a lower speed for taller or lighter cartons, and a higher speed for stable, flat-bottomed cartons.
• Standing firm. Ensure the conveyor is level across its width before operating.
• Cables. Make sure the power cable is kept clear of the frame when extending or retracting the conveyor.
• Care. Keep rollers and belts clean and free from debris or strap offcuts to maintain smooth operation.
