FLEX BOX Semi-automatic Case Erector

The FLEX BOX case erector is designed to fold and form your boxes or cases, streamlining the box assembly process and increasing the speed of your packing line. It is capable of producing up to 7 boxes per minute. The FLEX BOX case erector can be adjusted to accommodate various case sizes: L(200–600) × W(150–480) mm × H(120–500) mm. The machine folds the lower flaps of the case. The operator places the box onto the machine and manually folds the front lower flap; the rear flap is folded by the pusher board; pressing the switch board with the carton activates the air cylinders to fold the side flaps; the filled carton is then pushed out using either the push button or foot switch, transferring it to the carton sealing machine. The operator loads the goods and folds the upper flaps of the case. The pusher then moves the case to a carton sealer, which seals both the top and bottom. This machine can be used in conjunction with the FLEX-TAPE Carton Sealing Machine. The worktable height can be set between 700 mm and 800 mm. The FLEX BOX case erector measures 1500 x 900 x 780 mm (on the stand) / 880 mm (on castors) and has a weight of 130 kg. It utilises air pressure to move the box along the packing line.

The FLEX Box Case Erector is a semi-automatic machine for erecting cases, where you manually remove the flat box from the integrated magazine and place it into the machine. Once positioned, the box is folded and held underneath by two pneumatic valve folders. This allows you to fill the box easily without it toppling over. By pressing a button or using the foot pedal, the box is pneumatically pushed out of the machine and into a connected carton sealing machine, which immediately applies tape. The machine is suitable for use in industries such as chemical fibre, tobacco redrying, pharmaceuticals, publishing, air conditioning, household appliances, ceramics, hot working, and more.

How does the FLEX BOX Semi-automatic Case Erector operate?

The operator opens an empty case and folds the front flap. The rear flap is folded from a 45° angle by the pusher board.

The operator places the bottom of the case onto the central guide rail of the case erector.

The operator moves the case in the direction indicated by the arrow so that the lower right and left flaps touch the switch board at the base.

The lower cylinder advances the case guide rod to the central guide rail to secure the case. At the same time, two cylinders rotate the right and left flap-folding boards from vertical to horizontal, folding the lower right and left flaps. Once folding is complete, goods can be placed into the case.

As shown in the diagram, the operator folds and presses down the top flaps of the case, then activates the pusher device using the switch (or footswitch). The cylinder-driven pusher moves the filled case into the carton sealing machine, where the case is sealed.
