SMARTWRAP RA1000 rotary arm pallet wrapper with frame, rotating arm and film carriage The RA1000 is a rotary arm pallet wrapper, where the pallet remains stationary on the floor while the arm rotates the film carriage around it. This is ideal for tall, heavy or unstable loads that should not be rotated.

Suitable for pallets up to 1.2 × 1.2 m and a maximum height of 2000 mm, with film pre-stretched to 250%. The arm speed is adjustable between 3 and 12 rpm.

RA1000 film carriage with lower anti-collision bumper A photo sensor detects the top of the load; the carriage wraps the base, moves up to wrap the top, then returns. Film application and cutting are carried out manually.

Operated via a PCB board with X-Line touch screen, powered by 220 V, 50/60 Hz. Overall dimensions: 2.68 × 1.1 × 3.1 m, weight: 600 kg.

What the rotary arm wrapper offers

The load remains stationary. The arm rotates, not the pallet, so tall or unstable goods are not disturbed.
No turntable or ramp needed. Place the pallet directly on the floor beneath the arm using a pallet truck or forklift.
Reduced film usage. 250% pre-stretch maximises film coverage per pallet.

Operating the RA1000

Place the film roll onto the carriage and thread the film as shown on the carriage diagram, with the cling side facing the load.
Position the pallet on the floor beneath the arm using a pallet truck or forklift, then leave the area.
Secure the film end to the pallet.
Select the programme on the touch screen and start: the arm rotates while the carriage moves up and down to wrap.
Once the arm returns to its starting position, cut the film manually and remove the pallet.

Settings and maintenance

Wrapping tension. Adjustable via the touch screen: increase for heavier loads, decrease for lighter cartons.
Turns at base and top. Set on the touch screen to ensure the pallet base and top are securely wrapped to the load.
Safety. Inspect the emergency stop and anti-collision bumper daily; never allow anyone beneath the arm.
Cleaning. Use a dry cloth or a neutral cleaning agent, never solvents or petrol.
Carriage rollers. If the film slips, clean the rollers with alcohol.
Lubrication and inspection. Lubricate chains and bearings; inspect the column belt and the arm’s slewing bearing as per the manual’s schedule.
