Cardboard shredder machine GREE ES 422mmGREE ES 422mm cardboard shredder machine

The GREE ES 422mm cardboard shredder machine provides a modern approach to transforming waste paper, cardboard, and corrugated board into efficient void fill material. This machine is supplied ready for immediate use, with a plug-and-play design that reduces the need for additional cabling and minimises installation time wherever it is set up. The ES 422mm model is a GREE branded product, internationally acknowledged for its excellence in packaging machinery design and engineering for professional users.

This machine features a specially engineered, aerospace-grade steel shaft with dual action, designed to trim and convert cardboard into void fill or flexible matting. The intuitive controls include Features Start, Stop, Reverse and Emergency controls to ensure both safety and productivity in the workplace. Its efficient drive system supports sustainable operation, while the soft start function helps reduce wear on components and ensures quieter running.

The ES version is designed to produce flexible matting. A dust reduction system can be fitted, making it particularly suitable for environmentally aware users. The machine is capable of cutting material up to 420mm wide and 18mm thick, delivering up to 6.0 cubic m/hr of void fill with continuous operation.

The machine measures W660mm x D660mm x H1060mm, with a weight of 120kg and a footprint of 0.5 square metres. It requires a 230 or 240 volt power supply and can be connected using a 13-amp plug. The unit is suitable for processing cardboard or paper with a minimum weight of 60 g/m2, and is supplied with CE, ISO, as well as EcoFriendly certification.

This machine operates in a single pass and is equipped with an emergency stop button for enhanced safety. The bespoke steel shaft ensures robust performance and long service life, and the inverter drive provides 30% energy savings. Designed to comply with international packaging equipment standards, it is an excellent option for businesses prioritising efficiency and sustainability.

Cardboard shredder machine GREE ES 422mm

Operating the machine is straightforward. Connect to a 230 or 240-volt supply using a 13-amp plug. Release the red emergency stop button and turn the black rotary switch to the right. Press the GREEN start button to illuminate the operating lamp. Feed corrugated board, up to 18mm thick, into the front opening. The integrated cutter will trim any excess width from the board.

If the carton contains staples, position it so the staples are on the left side when feeding into the machine. Process the board as usual, ensuring the final piece with staples remains to the left of the cutter. This will result in a narrow strip containing the staples, which should be disposed of safely.

At the back of the machine, a spring-loaded stainless steel flap compresses the shredded board into a more flexible cushioning material. Do not lift the flap to remove shredded board, as processed material will be pushed out as more is fed in from the front. For flat material, remove the two L-shaped spring legs from the holes in the compactor flap. The flap will then move freely and will not restrict the shredded board.

If the motor overheats, the thermal cut-out will activate. In this case, wait three minutes before pressing the button to resume operation. If a blockage occurs, turn the rotary switch fully to the left to reverse the motor and clear the material.

Instructions for operating the cardboard shredder (GREE ES 422):

  1. Cardboard shredder machine GREE ES 422mm

Connect the shredder to a 230 or 240-volt mains supply using a 13-amp plug.

  2. Release the RED emergency stop button.
  3. Rotate the black selector switch to the right, then press the green start button; the indicator lamp will light up.
  4. Insert corrugated cardboard, up to 20mm thick, into the front opening. The built-in cutter will trim any excess width, and these offcuts can be fed through again until all material is processed.
  5. If the cardboard contains staples, feed it into the machine with the staples positioned on the left. Process as usual, ensuring the final piece with staples remains to the left of the cutter. This will result in a narrow strip containing the staples, which should be disposed of safely.
  6. At the back of the machine, there is a spring-loaded stainless steel flap. This compactor flap compresses the shredded cardboard into a more pliable cushioning material. Do not lift the flap to remove the shredded material, as the processed board will be pushed out as further board is fed in from the front.
  7. If flat output is needed, remove the two L-shaped spring legs from the holes in the compactor flap. The flap will then move freely and will not restrict the shredded material.
  8. If the motor overheats, the thermal cut-out will activate. Wait three minutes, then press the button to resume operation.
  9. If a blockage occurs, turn the rotary switch fully to the left to reverse the motor and clear the material.
  10. Setting the rotary switch to the centre position turns the machine off.
  11. NEVER leave the machine running without supervision.
  12. The running time and maximum board thickness depend on the density of the material.
