The SMARTWRAP X2 Pallet Wrapping Machine with integrated scale offers a fast and reliable solution for securing pallets for transport. This machine is equipped with a 1500 mm turntable (other sizes available on request: 1650 mm, 1800 mm, 2000 mm, 2200 mm), suitable for pallets up to 1.2 x 1 m, and can wrap to a maximum height of 2200 mm (2600 mm or 3000 mm available on request) with a maximum pallet overhang of 100 mm. The pallet wrapper accommodates loads up to 2000 kg and achieves a maximum wrapping rate of 30 loads per hour.

The machine uses mechanical pre-stretch and supports film widths up to 500 mm, with a maximum film diameter of 250 mm and a film core diameter of 76 mm. Maximum film weight is 15 kg. Power requirement is 1.5 kW at 220V–240V/50/60 Hz. The SMARTWRAP X2 Pallet Wrapping Machine measures 2600 x 1500 x 2445 mm and weighs 400 kg.

The SMARTWRAP X2 is user-friendly, featuring an English-language HMI and a Smart Operation Guide. It includes a SMARTWRAP touch screen, a SICK proximity switch (German brand), an Autonics photoelectric sensor, and an OMRON (Japan) position switch. The turntable sits 83 mm above floor level, is 8 mm thick, and uses 10 double rollers. The turntable is driven by a chain, and the column frame is constructed from aluminium profiles and steel.

The film carriage is equipped with a safety device beneath the carriage, a coated rubber pre-stretch roller, an easy-connect plug, and a straightforward film threading system. The control system features a smart LED status indicator and a user-friendly interface. The SMARTWRAP X2 is CE-certified and includes a PCB control system for enhanced safety and efficiency.

Operating the SMARTWRAP X2 pallet wrapping machine

The SMARTWRAP X2 pallet wrapper enables an efficient and straightforward packaging process that can be managed by a single operator. Below is an outline of the operating steps:

1. Goods are brought by forklift to the SMARTWRAP X2 pallet wrapper and positioned on the turntable. The stretch film is then manually secured to the first side of the load, following the instructions in the user manual.

2. Once the load is in place, the operator starts the pallet wrapper. The turntable rotates from its starting position, and the film carriage dispenses film in coordination with the turntable speed. As the turntable spins, the film is applied around the load.

3. The SMARTWRAP X2 allows you to adjust wrapping settings for different types of goods. After a set number of rotations at the base of the load, the film carriage begins to move upwards. The carriage, turntable, and film feed work together to ensure the load is securely wrapped.

4. When the film reaches the top of the load, the photoelectric sensor detects the load height. The film carriage then starts to descend after the top layer is wrapped.

5. Once the film carriage returns to the bottom, the turntable slows down. The SMARTWRAP X2 automatically stops when the bottom wrapping is finished.

6. To complete the process, the film is cut and the wrapping cycle ends. The SMARTWRAP X2 then remains in standby mode, ready for the next pallet.
