The P409 is a box wrapping machine where the carton rotates on the turntable and draws stretch film from a roll on the shaft, ensuring an even and secure wrap in just a few turns.

The turntable measures 600 mm in diameter, features a rubberised surface, and supports loads up to 70 kg. Rotation speed reaches 30 rpm, adjustable via a control knob, and the table is operated using a foot pedal.

The film roll is mounted on a vertical shaft, with a height of 450 mm for smaller cartons or 850 mm for taller ones.

This machine plugs into a standard 220 V socket and uses 25 W of power. It is fitted with four lockable castors, measures 1070 mm in length and weighs 30 kg.

Operating the P409

1. Place the film roll onto the shaft and secure the film end to the box.
2. Position the box in the centre of the turntable and hold it steady with the hand grip.
3. Adjust the speed using the control knob.
4. Step on the foot switch: the turntable rotates and the film wraps around the box.
5. Press the switch again to stop, cut the film, and remove the wrapped box.

Installation and maintenance

• Assembly. Attach the four castors, the film shaft, the turntable and the foot switch; the machine is then ready for use.
• Shaft height. Use the 450 mm shaft for shorter boxes and the 850 mm shaft for taller ones.
• Speed. Begin slowly with light or tall boxes, and increase the speed once they are stable.
• Weight. Do not exceed 70 kg on the turntable.
• Stability. Lock the castors before starting to wrap.
• Maintenance. Keep the rubber surface of the turntable clean to prevent boxes from slipping.
