The HSM V-Press 503 vertical baling press features a double door, allowing you to open only the upper section for loading. This makes handling much easier, as waste cannot fall out. The lock engages automatically when you close the press door. A knee lever is used to fully close the hatch, enabling you to begin the pressing cycle. This lever ensures safe operation and is positioned at an ergonomic height for ease of use.

Operation of the HSM V-Press 503 eco vertical cardboard baler

To prepare the HSM V-Press 503 vertical cardboard baler, insert the strap and engage the strap brake. Next, select automatic mode and load the machine with waste. The pressing cycle will commence automatically once the door is closed. When pressing is complete, the bale ready indicator will activate. Release the strap, pull it out, and cut it. Open the lower door and tie the straps together. Use the trolley to remove the bale. Please refer to the video below for a demonstration of the bale pressing procedure.

Strapping method a waste bale with the HSM V-Press 503 vertical cardboard baler:

• Activate the illuminated button
• The press ram returns to its initial position
• Release the tape brake (move the lever to the left)
• Open the loading door (angle of opening greater than 90°)
• Draw the tapes on the rear wall forwards (towards the bale ejection door)
• Extend the tapes approximately 400 mm over the bale ejection door and cut them
• Shut the loading door
• Activate the illuminated button
• The press ram advances onto the material again and halts
• Open both the loading door and the bale ejection door (with an opening angle greater than 90°)
• Detach the end of the tape from the securing hook and tie it securely to the strapping tape (at the top of the bale)
• Repeat these steps for each of the strapping tapes
• Shut both the bale ejection door and the loading door
• Activate the illuminated button
• The press returns to its initial position
• Open both the loading door and the bale ejection door (with an opening angle greater than 90°)
• Remove the bales using the bale removal trolley
• Secure the tapes in the press chamber back onto the fixing hooks
• Shut both the bale ejection door and the loading door
• The press is now ready for use again
