Instructions for using the JET Battery Strapping Tool with 12-16mm PET/PP strap

1. Arrange the straps in position – Please wind the strapping tape as shown in the illustration. Ensure the strap is free from water, oil, or other substances.
2. Hold the lifting handle – Place the straps into the battery strapping tool correctly. The compressed end of the strap should overlap at the top, and the lower strap must extend beneath the tensioning wheel to cover the front of the toothed plate by 5-10mm. When inserting, lift the handle with your right hand and feed the strap with your left. Both ends must be parallel and aligned before releasing the handle.
3. Operate the tensioning lever – Once the strap is fitted, grip the tool handle and move the tensioning lever. Pull the lever backwards to the rear stop, then push it forwards to the front stop. Repeat this action several times. When the strap is sufficiently tight, release the lever. Ensure the tool moves parallel to the strap, with the strap moving in the opposite direction during tensioning.
4. Press the welding button – After pressing the tensioning button, immediately remove your finger; the tool will weld automatically (the duration is preset, but can be adjusted clockwise or anticlockwise). Once sealed, any excess strap is cut off automatically.
5. Lift the handle to remove the strap – After strapping, raise the handle, rotate the tensioning wheel, loosen the strap, balance to the right, and remove the tool.
