The GT-100E is ideal for marking and coding in sectors including electronics, automotive components, pharmaceuticals, food packaging, cosmetics, healthcare, chemical packaging and logistics. It prints directly onto cartons, plastics, metals, pipes, glass, cables, electronic parts and industrial packaging. This printer is suitable for handheld operation at workstations, on pallets or large items, and can also be mounted to a conveyor for inline coding. It is chosen where product sizes or shapes vary, or where fixed printers are not practical. The GT-100E is frequently used to mark goods as they are packed, checked or moved, keeping workflow uninterrupted.

Print resolution reaches 300 × 300 DPI with print heights from 1 to 12.7 mm. Maximum print speeds: 406 m/min at 90 DPI, 304 m/min at 120 DPI, 240 m/min at 150 DPI, 120 m/min at 300 DPI and 60 m/min at 600 DPI.

It prints text, date and time, shift codes, serial numbers, logos, barcodes and QR codes, with data import from a database. The 5-inch colour touchscreen runs embedded Linux and supports over 40 languages.

The 12.6 V / 3350 mAh lithium battery is removable, so a spare can keep the printer running for longer shifts. The housing is ABS and overall dimensions are 220 × 140 × 95 mm.

How to print a code

1. Insert the cartridge and switch the printer on; the RFID chip automatically detects the ink type and level.
2. Enter your text on the touchscreen, or select a date, counter, barcode or database field.
3. Adjust the print height and resolution to suit your material.
4. Hold the printer 1–2 mm from the surface and move it along, or allow items to pass under the print head on a conveyor.
5. The nozzle dispenses ink as the encoder tracks movement, ensuring the code is always the same length.

Settings and care

• Resolution and speed. These are linked: 406 m/min at 90 DPI, down to 60 m/min at 600 DPI. Use the lowest resolution that keeps the code legible.
• Distance. Keep 1–2 mm from the surface. Any further and the ink spreads, causing blurred edges.
• Ink. Water-based ink is for cardboard and paper, solvent and mild solvent for plastic, metal and glass, and food-grade ink for food packaging.
• Cartridge. Remove the cartridge when not in use and seal it to prevent the nozzles drying out. Clean the nozzle plate with a lint-free cloth, never anything abrasive.
• Dust. Keep the printer away from dust and wipe the casing after each shift. Dust on the nozzle can cause missing lines in the print.
• Battery. Recharge the battery before it is fully discharged and keep a spare for longer shifts.

• Code height. 1–12.7 mm in a single pass. For larger print areas, choose the ST-210S-H2 with two heads and 25.4 mm.
• Hand or line. For fixed installation on a conveyor, the ST-210S-H1 is designed for mounting and includes a network port.
• Ink type. Specify the material you are printing on and whether the packaging is for food, so the correct cartridge is supplied.
• Power. The adapter accepts 100–240 V; when away from mains power, the printer operates on battery.
