The ZONE450F is an impulse pedal sealer. The heating wire in the sealing bar is only energised while the jaws are closed, then cools immediately after, so the seal is set before the bag is removed and the bar remains cool between seals.

The sealing bar is 450 mm long, sealing bag openings up to that width in a single operation, and produces a seal 2 to 5 mm wide. The heating duration is adjustable from 0 to 2.5 seconds to suit the film type.

The jaws are operated by a foot pedal, allowing both hands to position the bag. The machine stands on its own column, measuring 550 × 520 × 880 mm, and weighs approximately 20 kg. This is a floor-standing model, not designed for tabletop use.

Operates from a standard 110 V or 220 V mains socket at 800 W, with a three-core earthed cable. No compressed air is required and there is no installation needed.

The ZONE450F is suitable for use in food processing, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and hardware sectors, as well as in warehouses and distribution centres. It seals bags containing products such as food ingredients, medical supplies, electronic components and retail goods. The machine is ideal for medium and large bags made from PE, PP or laminated films.

The ZONE450F stands at a convenient working height on its own column and can be positioned wherever packing is carried out, including beside filling or weighing stations or at the end of a production line.

How to create a seal

1. Switch on the sealer and adjust the heating time to match your film type.
2. Lay the filled bag so the open end sits flat along the sealing bar.
3. Press the foot pedal: the jaws close and the heating wire operates for the set duration.
4. After the indicator light goes out, wait one or two seconds for the seal to cool while still clamped.
5. Remove the bag by pulling sideways, from left and right, not towards yourself.

Settings and maintenance

• Heating time. 0 to 2.5 seconds. Begin with a short time and increase in small steps until the seal is secure; excessive time will burn through the film.
• Bag position. Ensure the bag’s opening is flat across the full width of the bar, with no creases. A crease may cause the bag to split later.
• After sealing. Wait one or two seconds before removing the bag, and always pull it away sideways. Pulling forwards while the seal is still soft may tear it open.
• Never seal empty. Operating the jaws with nothing between them will damage the PTFE cover.
• Cleaning. Keep the bar and PTFE cloth free from melted film and never use wet cleaning methods. Do not scrape off hardened film with sharp or hard objects.
• Wear parts. The PTFE cloth, heating wire and upper pressure pad are consumable items; a damaged pad can cause uneven seals.

Selecting the ZONE450F for your packaging needs

When planning production, take into account your bag dimensions, the quantity to be sealed per shift, and the nature of the goods. This sealer is not intended for liquids or powders that could spill onto the sealing bar, as residues may harm the PTFE cloth and compromise seal quality.

• Bag width. Seals up to 450 mm in a single operation. For wider bags, use the ZONE600F with a 600 mm bar.
• Film. Impulse sealing is suitable for PE, PP and multi-layer films. For aluminium-laminated or thick bags, select the constant heat ZONE300D.
• Seal width. 2 to 5 mm. For a wider, heavy-duty seal, the ZONE300D produces a 14 mm seal.
• Floor or table. This sealer is free-standing on its own column at working height; it is not designed for tabletop use.
