Packing machines

Packing machines are vital for streamlining the packing process in a wide range of industries. These machines help to boost efficiency and reduce operational costs in production lines, warehouses, distribution centres and more. In this category, you will find several types of packing machines, including strapping machines, pallet wrappers, case sealers, case erectors, shrink wrapping machines, roller conveyors, vacuum packing machines, heat sealers, labeling machines, paper banding machines and packing lines.

Packing machines are suitable for strapping, sealing or wrapping boxes of different sizes, as well as pallets. Automatic packing machines fully automate the strapping, sealing or wrapping process, depending on the model. Semi-automatic packing machines automate part of the packaging process, but some steps must still be completed manually. Manual packing machines are designed to automate only specific tasks within the overall process. Packing machines use strapping bands, pallet wrap, shrink film, BOPP tape or Kraft tape.

We offer a comprehensive selection of high-quality and cost-effective packing machines. On our website, you will find the following types of packaging equipment:

Packing machines

There are many types of packaging equipment available, with the most common being pallet wrappers, strapping machines, case sealers, case erectors, shrink wrapping machines, roller conveyors, vacuum packing machines, heat sealers, labeling machines, paper banding machines and packing lines.

Types of packing machines

Pallet wrappers

Pallet wrappers, also known as stretch wrappers, are widely used in packing lines. They offer significant cost savings for larger operations compared to manual wrapping, and help to maximise the use of pallet wrap. This results in both time and cost savings.

Strapping machines

AUTOMA automatic strapping machine

Strapping is an effective way to secure goods for storage or transport. It can be used for a wide range of items, from delicate products to heavy loads. Goods can be strapped whether they are packed in cardboard or otherwise. This method is mainly used for strapping pallets and securing items together.

There are three main types of strapping machines: automatic, semi-automatic and manual. For packing lines handling high volumes, automated strapping machines—either automatic or semi-automatic—are recommended, as they greatly speed up the process by tightening and securing the strapping bands automatically.

Automated strapping machines are available in arch or tabletop designs. For greater flexibility, portable banding tools or manual and battery powered strapping tools can also be used.

Automatic case sealer TOP TAPECase sealers

Case sealers, sometimes called tape machines or tapers, are used in production lines, distribution centres and warehouses. They seal boxes on the top and bottom, and can also be used for side sealing, automatic flap closure and box folding, depending on the level of automation. Case sealers can handle both uniform and mixed box sizes. They use BOPP or Kraft tape, in wider or narrower widths depending on the sealing requirements.

Case erectors

FLEX Box Semi automatic Case ErectorCase erectors are designed to unfold or erect cardboard boxes ready for filling. These machines are available in manual, semi-automatic and automatic versions. With a manual case erector, an operator unfolds the box and folds or tapes the flaps by hand or with a taping machine, before sending the box along a roller conveyor or passing it to the next worker.

Semi-automatic case erectors complete the next steps automatically, using a conveyor to move the box through stations that shape it correctly. The finished box is then transferred by conveyor or by hand. Automatic case erectors use mechanical systems, such as robotic arms, to pick a box from a stack, unfold it and place it onto an automated conveyor. The box is then filled and sealed, either mechanically or with some manual input.

Shrink wrapping machinesShrink wrapping machines

Seal machines are positioned before the heat tunnel in a packing line for shrink film applications. A roller conveyor moves products along the line, where they are placed inside a shrink film bag. The products then pass under a heating element, which lowers to seal the bag.

This process seals both sides of the product, leaving it loosely enclosed in shrink film. The product then enters the heat tunnel, where the film is heated and shrinks tightly around the contents.
